I’d like to start my blog by talking about my girlfriend, Abi. She lives all the way in Australia, and I live in California, so we have a rather unique way of meeting. We connected on social media because we are both diehard fans of the rapper Eminem.
Abi is very kind and a true fan of Eminem — she even knows his underground stuff before he became famous. We met in 2019 and were really good friends for years, talking virtually every day on messages. Eventually we started to FaceTime, and then after four years, we took it to the next level and became boyfriend and girlfriend.
Despite the distance, we make it all work by doing almost daily FaceTimes and/or messages to check in on each other. We send each other presents for birthdays, holidays, Valentine’s Day and anniversaries. We definitely plan to meet up in person in the future. But in the meantime, it has truly been a beautiful and special blessing to have her in my life.
